Thursday 28th May - bike *** - Short two rivers, Orwell to the Deben – Sunny and hot.

Woke to another sunny and warm day deciding to take our Breakfast to the benches at the water ski jetty on the River Deben. We got down to the prom at 8.15 turning left into a nice breeze but only got as far as The Dip before Mag got a big puncture in her front tyre spraying green slime everywhere! The was no way that the slime would repair that and it is next to impossible to put a patch on an inner tube with slime in! So, we found out the combination of the Felixstowe windsurfers beach hut to put Mags bike in and had our Weetabix on the beach in glorious weather:) Mag then has to walk home while I continue on to the Ferry past the fantastic poppies, again the boat yard was a hive of activity with owners getting their boats ready for the water! I then continue back the Felixstowe dock view point and home along the prom. On arriving home, I hitched my windsurfing trailer onto the van with the intension of going back down to The Dip.
